There is no comprehensive listing for faculty positions
at community colleges in the US. Since community colleges are so
community focused, they typically do not do national searches for faculty
except in areas where faculty recruitment is very difficult (the high tech
industry is one example). AACC does post a few positions on its Web site
(http://www.aacc.nche.edu/career/career.htm),
the Chronicle of Higher Education does also, and there is a third site (www.higheredjobs.com)
on which you may find more. A
good way is to get listings of available faculty positions is to check with
the state office Department of Education. Start with deciding the general
area you want to live and then start contacting the state offices – most of
whom are listed on the
http://www.statedirectors.org/directors/mapem.htm page. Good luck in your faculty search! Community colleges need good faculty.

The National Council of State Directors of Community Colleges is an affiliated council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). The council provides a forum for the exchange of information about developments, trends, and problems in state systems of community colleges. Through our affiliation with AACC, we also strive to affect national legislation that impacts our colleges and state agencies. This is the only Council that represents the collective interest of state agencies and state boards of community colleges. This council is a valuable forum to help state directors deal with the changes in attitude and policies towards community colleges at the international, federal, state and local levels. We will share information and learn lessons from each other to better serve the interests of our institutions in the coming years.
